Elemental Damage or Elemental Penetration

so i have this
and , i cant decide in which one should i have main skill , if i have it in weapon i have 82k damage and 13% pen but if i do it in body i will have 42k damage and 53% pen , please help and tell me which one is more effective .

Those questions are why people use Path of Building. Look it up, its the best tool for this game besides a competent loot filter.

My guess would be that the first one is better vs most things, just not vs very high elemental resistance.
But why are you supporting Caustic Arrow with Elemental Attack Damage? Doesnt it do chaos damage?

you say the diference is 100% more damage? what support gem is giving that?

Maybe you wrong in your maths, because for sure the penetration there is better 37% is too much for a build that has almost none.

But those numbers you show to compare are wrong.

it isnt wrong. elemental focus changed to elemental penetration (armor mod)
and instead of slower projectiles i use mirage archer for cleaning maps because i didnt want to use two skills and also i dont want GMP because i have to change gems before every single target enemy (to lazy :D) after all this 82k turns into 42k . thats why im interested high damage or high penetration , whats better in all situations and not for only single target enemies.

Its not fair to compare damage with one skill setup with gmp and the other not.

the thing u trying to compare here is not only the ele pen or not, its the entire skill setup. And that only u can choose, because of play style and what u feel fun.

i tested everything out myself on uber elder and penetration build is way better. for cleaning maps i use caustic arrow and for single targets i use scourge arrow... i one shot nearly every boss till T14 maps, i havent tested on higher tier maps yet but will try. thanks to everyone for your attention and your opinions . good luck and have fun

hmm if you use crit , i suggere to you dont use elemental focus , because you lost capacity of shock , its can be powerful with this ailment
