LGOH or ES on Hit watcher's eye for EOI CWDT build

Running a Herald of Agony Juggernaut that focuses on Eye of innocence to trigger spells for poison stacks and defense from LGOH/Spells. I notice most of these builds use a Discipline Energy shield gained on hit instead of vitality life gained on hit, and I'm curious why. I do already have some Life gained on hit from using a shaper ring, Ngamahu's ring and razor of the seventh sun. I have both watchers eye as well. The vitality one has both LGOH and increased life recovery rate so I'm wondering it would be the better choice. Profile link and watchers eyes are below.

You have life build ES on hit doesn´t make any sense.
Maybe they just don’t know about the vitality one? There’s really no reason to prefer ES that I can think of and it costs way more.
If you have a significant amount of ES and other sources of life on hit (or if the vast majority of your HP pool is ES), get ES on hit, otherwise life is better.
Was thinking of it like an aegis auroa build that doesnt have alot of ES, but constantly restores so my life pool never gets touched. I think I'm just going to use the vitality one though since it has the other useful mod. Thanks for the input
