Tencent VS Netease. What does this mean to Path of Exile?

Tencent and Netease are always head to head in which company holds more value and market percent in the mobile gaming area in the asian markets...

So, now that Netease is releasing Diablo Immortal (mainly for the asian markets, lets be honest) what do you think Tencent will do in regards to Path of Exile possible expansion into the mobile gaming market?

Do you think a future version of Path of Exile will exist to compete with Diablo Immortal in the mobile gaming market?

If yes, how would you feel about that?

And what if they made a mobile version of Path of Exile but also kept improving and expanding the PC version, would you think that would be "ok"?

There might be an asian version of PoE or whatever, GGG said that even though they got bought by Tencent, they still have authority in the eastern version and what gets done here.

For me Diablo immortal is not a bad game by any means, it's simply out of my platform as well as PC gamers in general. People are prejudging and hate bandwagoning as always. As said, Blizzard just took an very old and classic franchise with good gameplay and put it in a new raising platform. For long time fans i guess they have the right to be offended in some way.

Probably Blizzard gave up on satisfying nostalgic custormers who can't accept anyhting that isn't D2 and focused on the big casual market and new generations.

D3 gameplay still very enjoyable at 2k18 i must say.

I agree D:I does not seem a bad game at all and those environment combats were pretty cool.... BUT

And this is a big BUT, is that if they did a PC version of a new Diablo game that we could ALSO play on mobile, with our saved PC progress, then that would be an amazing thing!

I have nothing against mobile games, I play them myself, but if for some reason PoE does a mobile game and it is in some way tied to the PC version, man that would be so fricking cool!

If Tencent has any intention of doing a Path of Exile mobile version, I really hope we can carry our progress to the mobile version.

Honest to god here, I would love playing Path of Exile when out and about or while taking a cr@p! :)

To be honest I wouldn't even be mad if they'd do an mobile version of PoE. It is not what I personally would ask for, much like the xbox version, but overall I am still happy with the core game so I'm all for GGG to expand and profit.

For Diablo however, this is not the case. Diablo III is playable and an alright game for the most part, but dogshit if you were to compare it to Diablo II. An absolute letdown and this was probably Blizzards last chance to redeem themselves. Instead they did something nobody asked for and killed of their franchise.

If Diablo Immortal was announced next to an upcoming D4 or Diablo II remaster, I could have taken it with an grain of salt. That is me being not a fan of mobile gaming, but I can see the overall appeal in terms of monetization. This is not what the fans asked for, truth to be told the og Diablo fans are not longer Blizzards target audience.
No reason to even relate the two. It would be like checkers and chess. Both use the same board, but are totally different games. Not even in the same class. Best just not to bring up the similarity.
