(Implicit) 50% Increased Dmg vs +1 to Level of Socketed Gems

Just wondering if anybody has some solid info on this. Is the perfect 50 increased damage implicit roll = to or greater than the +1 to level of socketed gems for a 6 linked chest piece?

the 50% inc dmg would be better for majority of situations and skill gems. just depends what you run.

Generally speaking, skills that have flat damage as their base damage (like a lot of spells) would benefit more from +1. otherwise 50% increase might be better (not always, depends on the skill and supports).
