POE unplayable while watching Netflix

I recently got Netflix and discovered that somehow, Netflix makes POE lag and POE makes Netflix go out of sync.
I can watch other streaming services without any issues. I can play other games while watching Netflix without any issues.

I have IT background but I can't get a grip on the connection of this issue. I'd love to grind some maps while watching Netflix but this is just impossible.

To describe the lag more, it's FPS drops from 120 to 20 and as you can see it goes up and down again and it actually freezes for a short moment and it makes it unbareble to play.


I tried different browsers, I tried to activate and deactivate hardware acceleration and played around with different graphic options in POE.

My specs:
i7-6700K
GTX 1080
16GB DDR4
m.2 SSD (on which POE is installed)
50 down 10 up internet (soon to be 100/40, but doubt it's a connection issue)

Any advice, any little idea is appreciated to get a handle on this.

uhh...yeah, you are using bandwidth, congesting it with video hence lag (even worse if you are 1080+ resolutions and high bitrates)

There is also processing and buffering of the video, which will use ram, and the gfx card

Have you considered maybe watching Netflix either on a mobile device, TV or another PC?

Also, dump wifi and go wired if you're using it. Believe it or not, PoE is kinda machine heavy and has a ton of stuff going on, especially end game.

But yeah, PoE is a greedy pig.

I "fixed" the issue by switching over to the Windows 10 Netflix Client. I can watch and play PoE now. Yey!
