7 Link One Handed Axe

Hey never seen something like this. Would such an item be useful?

Putting aside the global increased damage affixes, the dps and crit of the weapon puts it around 1 chaos. The support gems are useful, so this could be used by people who don't have a socket in their chest, and simply by people who can't afford 6-links. This puts an upper ceiling on the value imo.

Getting 4 support gems is rare, but only two of them considerably boost the damage. There is only one other axe with these supports for sale at 1 ex, but that doesn't mean someone will buy it at that price. You have a better base type and an open suffix for crafted attack speed, but the other has more crit and a chance to get an endurance charge on crit.

I personally would leave it unpriced in a public tab. Anyone who isn't starved for sockets will get a higher pdps weapon or a stat stick, so the 7L isn't that powerful even in offhand.

Otherwise I'd assume it can go for anything between 10 and 50 chaos, depending on how valuable it is to the player. Keep in mind that I'm not a melee player, so take my advice with a grain of salt. Asking in global chat can yield you opinions, but be careful with unserious ones.

The attack speed is a real drawback. But the best thing about that axe, is that it opens up some cool niche ideas with your six-linked body armor. My ideas goes towards The Coming Calamity.

But the axe alone, DPS and everything, isn't worth much. But that wasn't your question. Your question was if it's useful or not. My answer? It could be, if you're willing to think outside the box.

But you would want a bit more DPS when you're starting to push the real endgame. Unless, again, you're thinking outside the box.

Melee splash. The kid you invite along because his brother is a fun, cool guy.

Thats a cool axe. Looking at those mods it could easily be a unique designed by ggg. I'd say thats cool to have regardless of utility. :)

Always cool to find stuff like this through random rares .. for me thats half the fun of poe.

That seems like a pretty good idea

Ye, skellies and vaal skellies could be quite powerful with such items. Melee splash for clearing or damage mods for bossing.



Also good for attack skills if you want to use kaoms and shield.
