I suppose that it has use combined with prefixes and/or suffixes cannot be changed master crafts (requires lvl 8 masters).
That way you can retain prefixes, suffixes and still have a mirror copy of the item. :-) MY CHALLENGES ARE DONE ON HC, IT'S NOT SC GUYS!

So ideally rare belts / rings / amulets with 2x T1 prefix, 2x T1 suffix can be mirrored completely. You craft prefixes and suffixes cannot be changed and then reforge with the fossil. 4 ex + fossil cost.

you can use fractured fossil with other fossils to craft two helmets with one.
so you have a white item with a desired enchantment you want to mirror (+3 molten strike, +2 tornado shot, etc), then socket this fossil with 2 or 3 others in a resonator and use it on the helmet. boom you now have 2x rare helmet with stats. one is mirrored. keep in mind that because of how the resonators work, it will always reroll the item when using it, so it doesn't really matter what the affixes are to start |
