Quick Explanation
Using the required items above, we gain 100% ignite chance with Glitterdisc and 100% poison chance from skill tree and HoAg. Eye of Innocence causes self damage on ignite which perpetually casts low level CWDT spells to reach 40 Virulence instantly while also stacking life-gain-on-hit effects.

Detailed Explanation:
Spoiler

Part I - poison and ignite stacking

Glitterdisc provides 100% chance to ignite if you are burning (ignited). To ignite ourselves, we use Eye of Innocence and Mokou's Embrace /or Sunspite boots (these provide us with 25% chance to become ignited). Each time a spell ignites, we take 25 fire damage damage. because our spells hit many times, they constantly activate more spells.

in order to ignite/poison with all spells, you need an abyss jewel with flat added chaos damage. Ngamahu's Sign provides all spells with flat fire damage for ignites. The build gets 100% poison chance - 40% from assassin ascendancy, 40% from skill tree, and 20% from Herald of Agony.

Part II - Defence

The build takes 25 damage every time it ignites something. To counteract this damage, you need Ngamahu's Sign which gives 30 life per ignite. We net 5 life per ignite from this item alone.

Watcher's eye (discipline or vitality) provides another ES/ or life gain on hit. ES on hit works much better becomes it ensures that our ES stays full - providing a large damage shield. Without it, as soon as spirit offering procs, the damage from Eye of Innocence brings it back to zero almost instantly.

By selecting the Necromancer Ascendancy as the second class, spirit offering applies to your character and provides a nice damage buffer while also substantially buffing your minion's damage.

And lastly, Razor of the Seventh Sun can be used for a massive lgoh boost to spells. For easy access, simply have it in your secondary weapon swap and use it when needed.

Because the build is constantly taking damage, it uses abyss jewels which add 2% dodge/spell dodge if hit recently. With 11 of these, that's an additional 22% permanent dodge.

Soul Of lunaris also provides an additional 5% dodge/ spell dodge.

With enough jewels, the build can achieve 71% dodge and 57 spell dodge all the time. Atziri's step can further augment spell dodge to 73%.

***

In order to run through delves smoothly, you need to use phase run, and can optionally also run a quarts flask to be at maximum dodge and phasing all the time.

Part III - The Crawler
Herald of Agony gains bonuses based on virulence stacks - and those are gained each time you poison an enemy, with a maximum of 40 stacks. You need to poison quickly because virulence loses stacks very quickly.

The Crawler deals 60% physical damage and 40% chaos damage. It is always at full health and cannot be damaged.

The best way to scale it is with more multipliers and attack speed. Most notably, you want the herald to be level 21 because it goes from 3% attack speed per virulence to 4%.

Using Severed in Sleep, the crawler has a 60% chance to poison, and the poison it does is affected by pretty much all of the bonuses you get from virulence including minion damage and the more multipliers from gems.

Please note: withering touch DOES NOT work with spells, I replaced with inc duration support.

Watcher's Eye (ES gain on hit from discipline)

1 x abyss jewel with: chaos damage/ physical damage to spells and life.

11 x abyss jewels with: flat life, minion attack speed, dodge spells/attacks when hit

Skill Tree // PoB

Leveling:
Spoiler

I leveled the build from 1-68 using a 4l blade vortex with 100% poison chance and a 4L herald of agony crawler. I used aurumvorax for resists.

Once I got the Eye of Innocence, I dropped self-cast blade vortex and socketed all the cwdt gems.

I focused on getting abyss jewels with flat life and attack speed, then got a watcher's eye (discipline with ES on hit). Vitality LGOH watcher's eye can also be purchased much cheaper, though the ES one is better.

I used this until I crafted my 5 off color 6L Calamity:

I switched from using mokou's ring + abberath's hooves to sunspite and a shaper ring. This allows the build to use wither/cast while channeling/firestorm.

Replaced withering touch support in the boots with increased duration. (Withering touch does not support spells).

as usual, great and interesting build.
love it.
questions, why the Es on hit better than life on hit?
also why did you take this tree as it is, kind of weird

sorry to spam your build, but i would even go further:

i would use this tree insted

this let you a few things:

1. you still have 100 chance to poison, but now from tree (and gear you already have) you will have 99% chance to ignite.

2. with that you can drop you shield and drop the Mokou's ring, and get another Nagamahu's ring (to get to 99% chance to ignite) and to have huge life recovery boost from 2 of those rings.

3. i would use a 6 socket Soulwrest Ezomyte Staff and always have army of 20 phantasms (with the trick that one of the links will be another summon phantasm on kill).

4.might even go for block instead of evading, and have high lvl bone offering linked to high lvl cwdt, with this tree and the Soulwrest Ezomyte Staff and the offering, you will have 47% chance to block attacks and 29% block spells

what do you think?

i think it will increase you clear speed and probably also your defenses

I wouldn't try to change a build if I didn't understand the reasons for certain choices in the first place.

ES on hit because otherwise Damage On Full Life almost will never proc if you're constantly losing life to the burn.

You need the leech on Seven Sins to be able to withstand tougher encounters. The build is about having the crawler up 100% of the time and it doing most of the damage. Phantasms are cool and all but having to change the tree that drastically to get to 100% ignite chance is not worth it. Glitterdisc gives you that ignite chance.

At least this is my take on it.

@The_X_ile

I definitely went with the skill tree to optimize jewels. With a full set and atziri's step, the build has 71/73 dodge all the time without using a quartz flask. I don't think I would want to give that up for a slightly higher HP. However, for people that cant craft or by jewels with dodge/hp/ minion AS, the tree you indicated is more ideal.

As for the ES on hit, I found that without it, the ES from spirit offering almost always instantly dissapears due to all the damage from Eye of innocence. By using ES on hit watcher's Eye, the ES pretty much always stays full, which provides an extra 1k + damage buffer.

In more difficult fights, I just swap to the razor to gain an insane amount of life recovery.

Lastly, I do like the idea of mixing in the phantasm staff, thats something I would probably try on my standard character which is pretty much the template for my Delve character.

You know what's funny to me? I don't know if it's new leagues, new items, an update, or what it is.. but I always look forward to your builds. You've been at this for many moons and it's always a treat when you make something special. This definitely fits that bill! Thanks Dream! :)

Oh and I'll try the build out!:P

you are mistaken... the crwler alwayes is on full life, he cant be damaged, thats how he works, that is why the gem is so great with it.

seven sins is not mandetory because if you have 5.5K life he give you 55 life on ignite, and in my suggestion you get another ring for 30 life on ignite, which should be more than enough (unless one shot, than both wont matter).

also having 20 phantasmes is great meat shield for better survivabilty....

but OP explained his reasons greatly, in the post after you
