vendor reciping a vaal gem for 20%- do you get a vaal version?

as title says. if you trade in a lvl 20 vaal gem and a gcp for the recipe to get lvl 1 20% gem, do you get the vaal version? or does it give you a regular?

it gives you a gcp (from the 20% gem) and a scroll fragment (from the gcp)

you can't. It is corrupted. There is no recipe to make a vaal gem 20% once it is already in the corrupted state.

What you have to do is either find a 20% vaal gem or level up a normal version, make it 20%, relevel it and then corrupt it and hope for vaal version.

nope it only works with non corrupted gems and as every vaal gem is corrupted you even cannot give quality to this gem by using the quality orb for gems. To have a high vaal version gem with lot of quality, you have to make a 20/20 non vaal version gem and corrupt it.
thanks guys
