poe trade sniping tools

Hello, I created this topic cus I think this is issue.
Game becomes automated and some players gain huge advantage agains others just by external programs. It forces more and more players to use external programs to feel less disandvantaged...

My question is:

Shouldnt be some trade such as poe.trade ingame? to remove theese external sniping tools?

thanks for opinions. nice day.

Disadvantage as in? Race events?

The only "sniping tool" that is faster then poe.trade is the official trade website.

pathofexile.com/trade

Because it can pull realtime information its faster then poe.trade Implementing something in game would effectively be adding a web browser in game. Just use the official site.

Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF.

im talking about programs which alarms you when something is placed on poetrade at selected price or lower... for example u place tabula rasa on poe trade for 1c and in 2 sec 50 ppl are writing... Im talking about automated check which earns you currency and u dont have to do nothing.

Those programs don't have access to the information in realtime. Even poe.trade is delayed in how fast it gets updated.

GGG made a post a while back regarding how the trade API would work when they introduced the new official site. Because sniping tools WERE (key word here being were) being used to benefit.

Now only trusted sources get fast access to listings, while other sources (such as tools) don't.

People MAY have live searches setup on POE.trade (not sure if that is a function on the official site yet) but that is something EVERYONE can do.

Okay, i have to chime in. I've read all about the GGG whitelist (official registration for sites like poeapp.com / poe.trade and others), public domain having 60s delayed data available. In short, its here to prevent any non-registred individuals/companies (e.g. "snipers") from getting the access to stash data before the public does. This became a common occurrence some months ago, so much so, that GGG created whitelist for only registered companies/individuals to have "fast" access to the stash data.

Read more about the trade site whitelist here:
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2036957

Based on further testing (that anyone can do), the idea that post-GGG-whitelist sniping is no more possible, is simply not true.

I'm here to simply give results of the tests i myself have done, for i was also interested to know the fastest way to an item using the publicly available means. Simply put, all of the whitelisted sites i have tested (3) get their data at the same time, provide results to their users approximately at the same time, yet the items that arrive in your results via these whitelisted sites have been already bought (this is especially true for expensive items favored by the current meta).

There are many situations, when the item is bought as it arrives on any of the whitelisted/registered site, with message like "item no longer available" (e.g. poetrade.com). If you politely whisper the seller and ask them what actually happened, they will say that the item was bought approximately 30sec ago (before it became available on any of the whitelisted sites). I've tested poeapp.com, pathofexile.com/trade/ and poe.trade my self, to see the notification delays of "Live Search" (which uses Socket data stream), fastest being main site and poeapp.com, poe.trade close second after (we can assume they all have the data at the same time, and after each site does it's individual post-processing/parsing of the data based on the user query, provide it to their user).

I've talked to multiple sellers on my own, and they all have the same story to tell. Approximately 30sec before any whitelisted site provides the parsed results for their user, there are snipers that have the information and thus the advantage to "snipe" any item they desire before the rest of the public that uses the whitelisted/API-registree sites.

You can make your own simple test to confirm this being matter of a fact:

Search for: Jewel
Affixes:
#% increased maximum Life
#% to all Elemental Resistances

Look for a jewel that has any other "currently useful"/meta modifier, for ex:
#% increased Fire Damage
or:
#% increased Attack Speed
Toggle Socket/Live Search

Results:
poeapp.com - some items are bought before they even arrive as results via the Live/Socket connection, giving you "no longer available" result. Other items, that fit the above filter are listed but already bought. Contact the seller and ask them approximate seconds difference before the two whispers (yours and the buyers) - go figure.
I've had live search running for 8hrs for the above search filter, my whisper response time is ~1-2 seconds, as i am using semi-automation for testing.

Trust no-one, including myself; Do your own research.
