yes. it will protect you from EMP monsters.

Anyone knows if u can make the emp monsters into spectres and is it worth it over solar guards?
Also i suppose light radius is worth increasing? |

" Light radius is worth it because the crawler lights protect a larger area from the darkness. That also means that you spend less time in the darkness when running into side pockets. Together with darkness resistance the most important upgrade in my book. I never played spectres, so I can only take a guess here: if they hit harder than other alternatives (which I don't believe), it would make sense to take them. but since the EMP does not really affect other mobs afaik BUT might affect your chances of survival in delves, I would advise against using them as spectres. |

Most of the dangerous stuff that monsters do in delve is 'on death' so i think they'd make pretty crappy spectres.
Not to mention spectre EMP's would probably still knock out the crawler. |
