Even though they're releasing a lot of D3 features recently, it doesn't mean we have to do everything D3 does.
POE on switch would be soo good, if the hardware can run it even reasonably well. Poe while commuting/traveling. Touch screen for looting/inventory sorting. Could be amazing if done well, which ggg are very capable of.
dont think the minimalist switch hardware could do it

and the controls would be awful
I dont see any any key!
Imagine, Switch PoE bundle (red & blue joycons, logos)... free digital download...same base system price!

Yes GGG. You know what to do. Now GO!

the controls would be no worse than xbox or ps4
Actually caved and bought D3 for Switch.

Having a blast as I haven't done any Seasons for a while. Been playing DH's Unhallowed Essence which is one of my favourite sets. Never played D3 on console before, only PC, so using a controller is new. It's rather intuitive once you've trained your muscle memory.

It's an almost perfect port of D3 to Switch, not bad for a first effort, it has received one patch with the only announced change being the home screen icon for the game. I've only hit P670 GR80 so I haven't noticed any rift pausing. There are a few UI oddities though nothing you can't work around, e.g., like changing gems coming in from the right to left side of the menu the highlighting disappears. Also occasionally when there is a lot of stuff on screen I've noticed my Multishot arrows haven't appeared while firing yet Vengeance's effects are present. It's odd, somewhat amusing and not really an issue because it's incredible D3 is running on such a small device.

The engine seems different to PC. I say that because graphically the game looks the same except for zoomed out parts like the Act 2 Belial fight. You don't zoom out as far as PC and he is rather close, yet still large. Switch's instant pause/resume is a really nice for D3. Also no more losing progression due to an Internet disruption. Mostly played Docked but I did take my Switch out while I was eating in getting a burger. It was cool to do some Bounties while waiting for my lunch. Text fonts are a little small in Handheld yet manageable.

Say what you will about Blizzard and D3 they certainly have the resources for porting to Switch. I would be really surprised if PoE's unoptimised mess of an engine could run on the current hardware yet it might if we see an upgraded Switch Pro in a few years.

I would pay to see it happen, the only problem of having Poe on a portable console would be finding time to eat and sleep, you can theoretically play while eating so it remains the problem to sleep.
