Why is there Vaal version of Purity of fire AND impurity of fire

Why is there Vaal version of purity of fire => Impurity of fire, 2 in 1 gem
AND
Impurity of fire being standalone gem?

Why then theres not in the same way VAAL ARC and other vaal gems as standalone gems, which we can modify?

How then can people gen level 21/20 vaal Impurity of Fire

There's no standalone Impurity of Fire gem. It works the exact same as all other Vaal gems.

Level 21 Vaal gems can only be created using the Lapidary Lens in the temple, which corrupts a gem twice. If you put a level 20 normal version of the gem in there, you have a small chance of getting a level 21 Vaal version.

i found on poetrade 21/20 impurity of fire gems and was confused

cant a gemcutter box with +lvl and vaal gem mods give lvl 21 vaal gem as well? also corrupted gemcutter with +lvl (so just one suffix)

edit: now Im starting to doubt it, dont think +lvl boxes go beyond lvl 20.

bestiary had lvl 21 gem recipe, which is gone as well I guess.
