PC vs XBOX comparison

Hey there, recently I have bought an Xbox one X so I decided to try PoE on console. I've been playing it for a month now and I'd like to share my two cents comparing my pc vs xbox game experience.

Technically, devs made a great job porting PoE on Xbox (at least on X): wraeclast looks gorgeous, game runs smooth and loadings are as fast as on pc. Nothing else to say, if you don't have a gaming pc or if it's a bit outdated you can play PoE on console without loosing visual details/game smoothness and FPS. Obviously, if you have a NASA pc you will always go better on it, but we are talking here about cost/quality issue, very good on console.

Gameplay. Let's start saying porting a complex game like this on console, where you have to move everything with a controller, must have been a hard task for Devs, and overall I think they made a really good job achieving almost every goals.
Moving your exile with a controller is very satisfying, and the same is for using melee attack skills.
First issues come with ranged skills. They work, but in some cases you won't have the same control on them as on mouse + keyboard. For instance, with skills like caustic arrow, because of autotargeting, you simply can't aim a point of the map but you always have to hit a mob. To be honest, hitting mobs definitively works and is what you need at 90% of the time, but if you came from pc version, at the beginning you will experience a lack of control on your possible actions.

Anyway, what I really didn't like on xbox version, is item management. Like in every arpg in PoE you spend a lot of time picking up loot, organising stash, trading, crafting, ecc. Doing these things with a mouse + keyboard is extremely easy compared with a controller. They mapped xbox controller to make all these actions possible (and they had some brilliant idea) but item management is still boring and unintuitive. I really don't know if they could push controller mapping optimization further, because a controller is obviously limited compared to a keyboard and a mouse. Elite controller would definitely helps, but makes it mandatory to play their game would be a suicide.
