Totems and proc effects, such as from enchants

It is a bit confusing:

Lets say i have a enchant, or special affix, such as from this shield



"If you dealt a critical strike recently..."

Will this work even if a totem does the crit?

Okey, thanks, so it's the same with enchants such as these boots:



..that kinda sucks :(

totems use your offensive stats but they dont count as you when it comes to on-hit and on-kill effects.. the boot enchant will work just fine if you get hit but will not proc if the totem gets hit

edit: you can try different modifiers, some of them say "if you haven't killed recently" from which you can benefit permanently (unless your totems/traps/mines kill with damage over time. DoT kills are always credited to players due to ancient bug/issue with kill crediting system)
