How can I avoid in the Uber Elder fight the slowing things that they apply to you?

If you can use Kaom's Roots, they will make you immune to any kind of slowing effect. You also want to make sure you are killing all of the adds as fast as possible. They drop a slowing/dot effect (it's pretty hard to see with everything going on).
