I can't even figure out how to travel to Tidal Island

I just started the game and I cannot figure out how to travel to Tidal Island for the medicine chest. I talked to all the NPCs, and I tried running to the waypoint and clicking all over the map and different buttons on my keyboard but I honestly have no idea how to even navigate the first quest of the game.

" walk through the first area after the town (take the normal exit) to the waypoint at the end, next to the waypoint there are two exits. one is tidal island. to activate a waypoint outside a town to be able to use it later on from town you have to activate it by clicking on it offline
