Left Mouse Click with stops while running

I have been playing POE for many years. Since yesterday - just after installing latest patch - my mouse acts out.

Basically I can Left Click Mouse (with holding button down), which typically results in nontstop running. But not now. Now it does stop quiet frequently.

Its almost impossible to play now certain builds, because I would need to reclick leftmouse nonstop.

- tried also on Right Click Setting, same problem
- reinstalled mouse driver
- installed different mouse, with new driver
- activated and deactivted every possible setting under Options
(Full Screen, Windowed, Resolution, DX, quality)
- changed to different region at log in

funny enough it happens more so in maps, then in Hideout.

I really have no clue what causes this, or how to solve it.

Any ideas ?

Are you sure you didnt change your LMC to "default attack" or some skill? It lags in "move only" mode?
Anyway, don't forget to ask for support using email: support@grindinggear.com, it is hard to get any help (non-MTX related) using only this forum.

there is a new functionality since one of the last patches: if you click your left mouse button skill in the user interface you can activate "don't move while using this skill"

check if it's enabled.

the functionality replaces people having to press shift while clicking to be able to attack in place.

do you mean by new functionality the "attack in place" button ? Well, basically it used to work that I just can left -and hold- click the mouse button AND I would run. Now there is a frequent interuption since yesterday in running. almost if there would be a lag spike, but there is no lag spike. So I constantly have to repress left button... no matter what is assigned to it. not matter if its an attack, to fight or just run... also same if I put the funtion on the right mouse.

Same counts for an other complete other mouse. Other make, other brand, other model. Also it only happens in POE since yesterday. all other games are fine. So there must a connection between my mice and the poe patch... could not figure out anything else yet.

This has effectively been reversed, by timing out the mouse button input after a set amount of time.

what skill is on your left mouse button?

at the moment I have barrage assigned to it. / but also just the running skill on LMC has the same interruption.

did you try to assign the "move only" skill to your left mouse button.

it's definitely an issue with your game client settings, as windows tells the client the mouseBtnDown, MouseMove and MouseBtnUp events and the client has to evaluate those into movements.

another guess:

does the game speed up after the non-movement happens?

if yes, can you try to go into your network settings and set the networking mode from "lockstep" to "predictive?

also press F1 ingame and watch your latency to the server (the delay with which your commands arrive there). if it goes up when you get movement problems, you got network issues.

tip: isnt it related to "dead" zones in maps? I mean for example when using arc and move mouse over wall, arc is not casted unless I move mouse from "dead" zones.
