Me and /u/umocrajen have been working on a project the last few months. We released a very early Alpha-release about a month ago, and have been working on new functionality since, which we now feel is in shape to be released publically as a beta. The base-idea of the app is to enhance to party-experience, whether you're actually in the same party in-game, or on different leagues and wish to share information with your buddies on discord.   Reddit-thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/8w9ilc/release_exileparty_040b/ Current functionality - Browse gear and inventory for members in your group, with real-time updates (with cross-league support) - See how much currency/value each member has and how much they made in the last hour - See a summary of the groups net worth and how much you gain as a group per hour - See map/area-statistics for each member, to track time spent in each map and average maps per hour etc - Inspect players you've encountered recently in-game (they show up in the app automatically) We have plans to implement trading-functionality in the future. Any specifics about the platform and frameworks used can be found on github as it is all open-source. We also gladly accept pull requests to this project if you want to help. How is this different from the website, CurrencyCop or Path of Building? The main-feature of our app is that it shares extended information within the same group as you, which we feel is what makes our app unique. For instance, you could have the app on a second monitor with your friend selected, and you'll be able to see his inventory and gear update as you play. We created this both for new players, to help with the gearing-process, but also for end-game mappers that need an easy way to see their groups currency-income as well as statistics for the maps they run. A connection is established to the rest of the group, and each member of this group will send it's character-data towards the rest of the group as soon as new information is received from the API and client. At the current interval a character updates every time it enters a new zone. This makes it easy for you to inspect your friends and get updates when they change gear or loot new items. Important As with any beta-release, bugs are going to be found and functionality will not always work as expected. Please be patient with these things and use the links above to submit bug-reports or comment directly in this thread. Also, feel free to use the Discord(link above) to discuss ideas and give us feedback directly. We do not yet have a code-signing certificate for the application, which means you will receive a warning the first time you launch the .exe. To get around this, just press "More info" -> "Run anyway" when it pops up, and the warning won't be shown again. We're working on maintaining a code-signing certificate for the application. There might be some downtime at times during the beta-phase, since we're still deciding on hosting-plans for the servers. - Q: How do I find my SessionId? - A: Thanks to procurement for providing detailed info on retrieving it, can be found here: https://code.google.com/archive/p/procurement/wikis/LoginWithSessionID.wiki - Q: How do I know where my Client.txt-file is? - A: You will be able to find this file in the directory where the game is installed, in a folder called "logs". When starting the app it defaults to the steam-library default-path. - Q: My app suddently stopped updating and seems out of sync? - A: If this happens, it's most likely due to us updating the API, which disconnects you. Restart the app to continue using it. If it keeps happening after restarting, file a bug-report. - Q: Windows claims the app is from an unknown publisher? - A: As mentioned above we do not yet have a certificate to sign the app with, which leads to this popup the first time you launch the app - Q: How often does my character update? - A: Every time you enter a new zone your character will update and notify the rest of the group (if you have a working Client.txt-path) - Q: Why does my character not update at all? - A: Make sure you've entered a valid path to Client.txt when logging in. If it still doesn't work, try starting the app as administrator. - Q: My inventory is not displayed at all, only equipment - A: Make sure your sessionId is entered properly - Q: How about security? - A: Everything is open source(https://github.com/viktorgullmark/exile-party), and nothing related to your sessionId is shared, ever. Your current character and gear is only displayed within your current group, and the sessionId is only stored locally on your computer to fetch information from the official Path of Exile API. " Encountered in this case means the player in question has entered or left the same area as you. This is usually from trading in one of your hideouts, or by playing in a party where players frequently leave or join the same area as you. The information that would become available would be their equipment, level and class. IGN: CojL
