Drop rate and monster rarity

I've been playing this game for several leagues. I was always wondering if rare mobs and bosses in this game are really worth farming in terms of looting. In the poe wiki, I've read that the base drop rate of a white mob is 16% and this varies between monster type. I also learned that higher rarity on a monster means higher drop quantity and rarity. So I would like to know:
- Whats the exact item bonus (quantity and rarity) of killing a blue/yellow/boss monster than killing a normal mob? Is it just like the difference between farming a white map and a blue map?
- What are the conditions for a monster to drop more than one item? Is there an innate restriction for the maximum number of item that one monster can possibly drop depending on its rarity? For example, white mob can drop up to 1 item at a time, while blues can drop 2, yellows can drop 4, and bosses and exiles has no such restriction.
-What happens if the drop rate exceeds 100%? For example, killing a mob with 200% drop rate will drop two items.

Thank you

I wonder if these stats are taboos. :(
To my knowledge, GGG has never released any detailed data about drop rates or the loot system. Pretty much the only major facts we know are:

* IIQ and IIR do not scale linearly, they are subject to diminishing returns. Having 100% IIQ does not result in exactly twice as many drops.
* IIQ from your gear or from party bonuses does not affect the drop rate of Maps. Only IIQ from map and monster mods matters.

The wiki claims the following bonuses to IIQ/R from monsters:

Magic: 600% IIQ, 200% IIR
Rare: 1,400% IIQ, 1,000% IIR
Unique: 2,850% IIQ, 1,000% IIR.

I could not find any source for these numbers or whether they are still accurate.
