Conversion Trap's Indirect Nerf

Hey all,
I'm making a small post about a long forgotten skill, conversion trap. Those who do remember it will know how it's always been a mediocre skill due to how it works. This is especially the case in a meta that is revolved around killing everything on the screen as fast as possible. Conversion trap goes against that meta by trying temporarily make your allies to fight your foes. This doesn't work since you want those enemies dead for exp, but that's a post for another day. I'm here to talk about the following change to traps the ruined this skill:
"The interaction between trap skills with cooldowns and sources of additional traps thrown (such as the Multiple Traps or Cluster Trap Supports) has been changed, and now work as they did with Vaal Lightning Trap previously. Namely, additional traps can only be thrown if the skill has at least one extra trap cooldown stockpiled, and only as many additional traps will be thrown as there are cooldowns stockpiled."
Due to this change, you can't support conversion trap with multi/cluster trap to convert multiple enemies at once without using all of your charges for the skill. You then have to wait for 24 seconds to get all those charges back to cast it again. The worst part about this is that the skill wasn't buffed in any way to make up for this lost so now it isn't usable (not that people used it anyways.) I hope that GGG either reverts this change or overhauls the skill like they with the other previously mediocre skill, elemental hit, to make conversion trap usable as the support trap that it was always meant to be.

People actually use Conversion Trap? I thought it was in the same plane of nonexistence as Dominating Blow.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

There are some niche use cases for it in boss fights with tough adds when you have shitty dps.
