Im not sure if i understand you correctly but.
I don't know of any passives that increase spell damage by your physical damage but there is this support gem maybe thats what your looking for. |

I don't think you can increase physical damage on a spell unless it does physical damage in the first place, such as Ethereal Knives. Even then, I don't know if any passives actually give 'increased physical damage' (as opposed to 'increased physical damage with <weapon>' or 'increased melee physical damage', neither of which affects spells). Oak's reward on Cruel does apply to physical spell damage, however.

I might be wrong but i think that the only "increased physical damage" buff that works on spells is 12% you get from helping Oak on Cruel. If you want to boost your EK damage higher you need to use "increased spell damage" and "increased projectile damage" nodes.

note that "increased spell damage" will increase all damage done by spells, including physical, and similarly, Ethereal Knives will be affected by "increased projectile damage" - these aren't specific to physical damage, but do increase the amount of physical damage dealt by the spell.

honestly stop over thinking things, read the abilities, and take it literally.
unless it is stated, it'll do exactly what the ability or the description states. also do not mix up what a spell is, and what an attack is. just because a skill does physical damage, does not make it an attack nor does an elemental skill becomes a spell. so yes, iron will increases spell damage based on strength, since EK is a spell, therefore it gets it's damage increased. though you would need strength in order to make this work. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/120959 My guides

Also, in my experience, Iron Will's cast speed reduction rarely makes it worth it except for very certain spells. If you want to increase the damage of a spell that does physical damage (like EK for example) you can always use Added Fire Damage and Faster Projectiles. As far as making purely elemental spells do physical damage... I don't think that's possible yet. Maybe GGG will come out with some sort of Force Support that converts ele damage to physical damage (like cold to fire).

Iron Will's Cast speed penalty becomes quite small on high levels. On level 48 (gem level 12), it's just 8%, for example.
