Jewelers Orb and better.

I will pick up leser orbs if I am standing right on top of them sometimes.

May pick up a few rares from a boss/alva before portalling out of the map.
Changes over time. Right now, I'm short on Regals, so I'm doing the 2xRegal recipe. Eventually, I'll stop doing that.

I'm looting rares that could have a 1/1000 chance of improving my character that I'm playing or my hypothetical character I'll start next month.

I loot all currency. Waste of time and space on things like scraps and stones, but I still do it. Don't know why. Probably will break that habit someday.

All uniques. I have about 100 premium tabs, so I might as well. Cost in terms of time and storage is minimal and it triggers that "progress" feeling that keeps me playing.

I'd say my play is pretty atypical though.
Most forms of currency - late in a league I'll skip scrolls or sometimes scrap/whetstones if they're not on top of me, but nothing really feels worse than having to buy ID scrolls because you were chincy with your looting clicks. Pick up the damn scrolls, folks. Somebody's gotta do it sometimes. ...unless you're in standard and your currency tab is at 5k each for scrolls. Then you can leave them alone.

I'll grab any unique that drops, even if I end up vendoring half of them. Much like Shag, grabbing uniques is a thing I've got the space to do, and I still don't like leaving them there even when they're dumb shit like my seventeenth Dusktoe drop in a league. Never want to see another pair of Dusktoes again, but they're just about the only unique I'll leave on the ground if I see them. And even then, only sometimes.

6S drops, which are basically oversized Jeweller's Orbs, and 2x2 or 1x3 Chromatic items, if I've got space to spare.

Otherwise? I'll grab some rare items which align with my build or which are on generally useful bases, as my filter highlights. Gloves and boots, daggers, claws, wands, 1x3 swords, occasionally helms. Maraketh items when I'm feeling lucky - still dream idly sometimes of that sweet sweet high damage?APS Maraketh bow with the movement implicit I'd dearly like to have. Obviously rings and amulets, belts as well - those are your best bet for getting something worth selling. The other junk sometimes produces a decent find, but not often.

Unless a map is being particularly generous with 6S items or such, I don't usually need more'n just the one portal, and if it is being generous with those things, using an extra portal means more for me.

Note that my looting habits are considered stupidly hoard-y by Boom Boom Zoom Zoom speed clear guys. A lot of those don't touch anything but fusing or better, ignore rares entirely and only grab money drop uniques. I can't fathom playing that way, seems to defeat the entire purpose of the game to me, but it seems to work for them so hey.

I slow play. I seriously dislike grinding and I will rarely run more than 2-3 maps in a day, assuming I run maps at all.

Anyway, I pick up all currency, even a scroll on the edge of the screen. I pick up the large majority of rares. I usually pick up small blues like rings. I pick up all size 4 chrome recipes, and sometimes size 6. I pick pick up a lot of whetstone and scrap recipes, but I'm breaking myself of that habit. I pick up white bases, based on the character I'm currently playing, not sell value or other characters.

I don't hide anything in my regular filter. Although I have a more minimal filter for things like breaches.

I also have this warped joy from picking up everything dropped by Vagan, and selling that fool's own stuff back to him.
I don't understand why people do not pick up Armorer and Whetstone, if you are doing the chaos recipe you can add 20% quality to your items to get you an extra chaos orb.

If you are not doing the chaos recipe then I guess picking these up doesn't add much benefit.

Return on investment.

Eighty Armorer's Scraps and forty Whetstones do not, in any world, equate to one chaos orb. The time you spend clicking to maximize the quality of items is already not worth it for chaos recipe.

If you wantr to do chaos recipe, do the unidentified variant. Set up your filter to ping scrap rares (low bases, off stuff) with a special graphic for UID chaos items, then use those without identifying them. Don't bother with quality, don't even bother identifying them. UID CHaos recipe is the only way chaos recipe even halfway works for funding a league. It's slow as balls, but it's steady. I've largely stopped bothering with it, but it's better than nothing, and leagues better than dumping a hundred and twenty quality currency orbs on every single chaos-recipe transaction.

+1 to rares for regal recipe
Once I get further into a league, I hide all wisdom scrolls and keep transmutes on my filter. Picking up a transmute is basically picking up 4x wisdom scrolls. Depending on if I have a Portal gem or not, I'll hide portals as well. Armourer scraps and blacksmith whetstones get hidden if I have enough of them. All other currency shows up on my filter. As for rares, I only show higher tier bases, rings, amulets, and belts. I also show all uniques because even the less useful ones sell for a good amount of alteration and alchemy shards.
Belts. I have a serious problem picking up belts. I can resist all the other drops, outside of picking up a set of regal/chaos recipe stuff if its convenient. But when I see a belt I have to snag it. There is no other way.

I realized I have a belt problem when I started having to label multiple belt tabs in my stash. That's when I told myself it was time to stop and get some help. I'm now seeing a belt-focused therapist, which has done absolutely nothing to curb my need for more belts.

Please remove belts from the game.
