Sextant blocking not working???? 3.3

I am only able to use one sextant on my Atlas at a time. applying a sextant to more than 1 node makes my previous sextanted node just vanish. I've lost 6 sextants already. Is this intended? I thought sextant blocking was part of the game. Did they remove it?? And if so, why is there no warning given before applying a sextant that it will remove the last one regardless of where it is on the atlas??

It got changed, if you progress your atlas you'll be able to use more, but IIRC you'll be always limited to 4 or so.

Below your completed maps on the atlas you can see how many sextants you can apply.
