Defeat the Vaal Omnitect - Challenge - 5/5 ?

Hello folks,
i hope you have a nice day. Anyone managed to fully clear that sub challenge and which room upgrades are the prerequisites to spawn that certain mobs. Not sure in which phase they are supposed to show up in the final Bossfight of the temple. The other point is Lightning Defenses. Does it matter which tier the Lightning workshop is? I have never seen any defenses even with upgraded Tier 3 Conduit of Lightning. Best regards gandhar 0/

I think you need the fully upgraded room for all of the challenges, but I'm having trouble with the lightning defense one as well. I can't tell what part of the room I'm supposed to be hiding from, I can see blue/black effects I try to hide from but I don't think I'm doing it right. At least the fire turrets give you plenty of time to hide after it starts glowing red, but I would love to hear if anyone has any advice for the lightning one.
