currency value table

hi im quite new to the game and as i guess many other players too have problems with how much value the diferent orbs have. so i decided to make a list were everyone can look up the values of the diferent orbs for i couldnt find one on the forums yet =).

Values:

7 portal scroll = 1 orb of transmutation

4 orb of transmutation = 1 orb of augmentation

4 orb of augmentation = 1 orb of alteration

3 jewelers orb = 1 chromatic orb

4 orb of chance = 1 orb of scouring

2 orb of scouring = 1 orb of regret

3 armour scrap = 1 blacksmith whetstone

You'll probably want to have a look at this thread.

Don't forget that 4 chickens are worth one goat, even if you have overgrazed land full of goats and you are giving away your last 4 egg-laying chickens.

It's barter economics. The value of things fluctuates between traders. You can try to set an exchange value for things, but chances are at least some people won't agree with those assignments, and there isn't any way to enforce it. As for a currency, GCP seems to be the dominant one for now.

though what u are saying is right u should at least be able to say about how much something is aproximatly worth like to say it in ur words 1 egg will always be worth less then 1 chicken =)

i dont want exact values for those i agree will change over time but knowing a range like (example: 2-5 alts = 1 jewelers)would realy help to get an understanding of the value orbs have.

Based on this thread, I created a calculator that can be used for quick currency conversion. It uses the averages of the values (i.e., for something that is worth 4-6, it picks 5), but consider it a quick and easy method to figure out what's worth what. Please do feel free to share the link.

Just follow the instructions. If you can't follow the instructions, just change the numeric value in the one single field that's coloured differently (lavender-ish).

I'm able to easily change the conversion rates if and when they adjust in the future. I hope people find this useful.
