Spell Damage = the new Trap Damage?
Trying to craft Sceptre. Prefix open but cant craft Spell Damage on it bc it says it has already a mod of this type. Is this working as intended or am i missing something here?

Not a bug, as that flat lightning damage to spells counts as the same mod as "Spell damage".

Thats not true. Added Flat doesnt block Spell DMG craft.

" A clue? Well, I'd venture a guess that your thread title is a correct guess - that the new trap damage modifier is the same "Type" of modifier as the increased spell damage modifier. Yeah the thread got moved from bug report to gameplay discussion. That could mean that it's intended, but still it doesnt make sense. PoE is always trying to follow certain rules with prefixes and mods and stuff but this just feels off and I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.
