Game popup an error message after alt+tab to change window

The game popup an error message after I did the following steps:

1. Playing in full-screen mode with resolution 1600x900 (desktop resolution is 2560x1440 zoom 150% win10).

2. Alt+Tab to change focused window, e.g. to chrome/steam.

3. Alt+Tab to change focused window back to the game. Now the game popup an error message and the window is not in full-screen mode (although the setting still shows that the game is in full-screen mode).

The error message is shown below.



Currently, I have to change the setting from full-screen mode to another mode and then back to full-screen mode to resolve this issue every time. Any idea how to solve this problem permanently?
