sustaining chisels

so how do people sustain chisels? I Alch/chisel all my maps above t12. I add bloodlines on T14, but I've run out of chisels. Do you use the chisel recipe (20% quality gavel and map)?

i know i could just buy some from zana, but people sell them for even less. but how are they getting them?

People sustain chisels by buying them from other players.

Other players have lots of chisels because they alch'n'go on yellow maps and don't bother chiselling. Better to swap the chisels for chaos orbs so they can upgrade their gear and move in to higher maps.

That's my theory anyway.

yup. this. i know before i have everything i want for my build i'll get chaos any way i can, including checking vendors every level for chromes and stock up on chromes to sell those as well - depending how early it is in the league.

but you'd be surprised just how fast you're burning through currency by chiseling maps every time and such. if you take two days and save those chisels then sell em you'd get handfuls of chaos

collect every map while u farm. Buy map stash (game is unplayable without map and currency tabs anyway), and make price at every t1-t10 map (2 for t1-t5 and 3 to 6 chisels for t5-t10 for example). So u will sustain ~100 chisels permanently because lots of ppl need different maps.

in temp leagues for me an ex drop= 120-180 chisel.

I only chisel white "red" maps

I hoard chisels like crazy. Then start spending them on T13+ maps. :-)
Never sell a chisel.

Using chisels sooner is kinda overrated. They don't add that much. It was proven on this forum already.

I've saved up hundreds of chisels that I had to sell and get rid of. I don't bother chiseling maps usually. I get enough item drops to where I'd rather sell them for the currency.
