The dude's robotic voice kind of reminds me of "linus tech tips"' voice
edit: Can you really blame them? Do they really have a choice? If they didn't do it someone else would? When your government asks you to do something over there ; you do it. Not sure if Tencent is where you should aim your hate at. Last edited by teksuoPOE#2987 on May 25, 2018, 11:45:29 AM

I don't spend money on Tencent. For that matter I don't spend money on GGG either.
I spend money on cosmetic MTXes and account features. Last edited by Abdiel_Kavash#5296 on May 25, 2018, 12:45:06 PM

" if you support the game like you would have to spend on a subscription based game, you would reach the point of "enough mtx" in around 2 years and stop supporting. bli$$ard made more dough cause they didn't stop charging people at that point. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" I don't "support a game". I buy products that GGG sells. Last edited by Abdiel_Kavash#5296 on May 25, 2018, 1:15:41 PM

" i know cause you said that already. i was just questioning how that principle works out for a company like ggg if everybody just "buys their products". well, they wouldn't exist cause there were no "shinies to buy" when they started their game. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

On a good note... if they charge us more than ten cents for anything we can yell false advertisement.

X-post from another thread:
Couple things. First, "Sesame Credit" is specifically AliBaba's version of the social credit system. Tencent's version is boringly called Tencent Credit. More importantly: social credit wasn't Tencent's idea. It's a government program, and you can only participate if you have a government license. If Tencent didn't get a license, one of their competitors probably would have. They'd be stupid to let that happen. As much as I hate the idea of social credit, Tencent isn't quite as responsible as most people seem to believe. |
