Champion: Inspirational vs First to Strike, Last to Fall
Hi all,
I've put together a cyclone/double strike Champion using Hiltless and I'm wondering whether Inspirational or First to Strike, Last to Fall is more useful for me overall. Inspirational gives me constant damage and movespeed. Given that I have constant onslaught and 62% movespeed even without Inspirational, I like to pile on the speed - useful for Lab running which, despite my Abyssus, I enjoy doing with this guy. FtSLtF (lol at that acronym) gives me much larger buffs but only when I drop below 35% health. Because I don't have any elaborate setup to constantly dip below 35% every 20 seconds, the adrenaline buff only comes into play when I actually get hurt unintentionally. Given that Inspirational affects me at all times, I'm currently using that - I was using FtSLtF before but found that it rarely procs unless I'm in actual danger and doesn't really help me melt maps/bosses the way I'd like to. Readers, what do you think? I should note that: A. I'm not really looking for other feedback on my build. It's not meta but I like doing my own thing, thanks. I mean, you're welcome to tell me how crappy it is but I probably won't make any overhauls unless they're obvious things I just overlooked B. I know everyone will tell me to use Worthy Foe, but I'm not interested simply because I get a lot of accuracy naturally from my build and feel like my points can be spent better on one of the other two big nodes. Also, I've heard some uber bosses are immune to taunt so it wouldn't help me much there anyway We're all in this leaky boat together, people. It used to be that some bosses were immune to taunt, but when they implemented the new Ascendancy changes they changed the bosses so they aren't immune any more; instead they just unaffected by it. Accuracy is still useful for clear speed with worthy foe builds that rely on hitting to taunt, since you need to get that initial hit in as well.
I think you are ignoring two very important aspects of Worthy Foe and FtSLtF - the 'enemies take increased damage' mods. Because they apply at different times in the calculation, modifiers to 'damage taken' end up stacking multiplicatively with modifiers to damage dealt. So you can think of FtSLtF as "10% more damage", and Worthy Foe as "20% more damage". (Obviously they aren't quite that useful since the first hit won't have the extra damage, and of course taunts reset every 3s if you aren't hitting.) Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

" Thanks for your reply! You're correct about the "damage taken" modifier - perhaps I should consider Worthy Foe for that reason after all. We're all in this leaky boat together, people.
