elemental ailments effect for high hit rate/low damage skill

hi there,

We know that now the elemental ailments works in favor of more condensed output damages, and do merely anything when it comes to low hit damage.

Just come up with an idea that maybe there could be a stack kind of mechanics such that if u do 20 hits with lightning in a certain time window(like 4 secs), the enemy grants shock at 50% of the effect from the total damage dealt at once.

Cause the ailment mechanics to me feels like it's more of an uncontrollable bonus effect than some tool we can actually utilize with hit focused builds. And it rewards the builds with already high enough damage rather than one that struggling to find a way to scale their damage (or CC in terms of cold damage)

any thoughts?

This is exactly correct. Ailments (especially shock, freeze and chill) from damage are unreliable in their current state, and work best when you don't need them.
