Frost wall is a joke
"Permeability: Players, monsters and most projectiles can not pass through a frost wall."

" Yeah, well, the projectile permeability is relatively new and was introduced because of Ice Shot/ Kinetic Blast abuse. Not sure about the monsters... I only used it once on a Whispering Ice character. Since I didn't want to sacrifice my amulet slot for an Eye of Chayula, I made use of Cast when Stunned with Frost Wall and Cold Snap in order to keep them foes at bay. Worked reasonably well - but not perfectly due to FW not being all airtight. Bird lover of Wraeclast

If the permeability does not include the caster, then it will be useful, frost wall trap quite fun though :D

Frost Wall is anything but a joke, it's extremely useful now.
Your allies' projectiles and your own will pass through, as that change was made a while ago (largely because it was abusable as well with lightning arrow and kb and the like), however most enemy projectiles will not, unless they have pierce/chain/fork. As for enemies themselves? Well, phasing does allow them to ignore the wall, which means some skills that grant pseudo-phasing will do the same (namely cyclone, or that whirling combo Phoenix and a few regular/abyss monsters do). Sometimes enemies will seem to pass through while it's forming, as well, as it doesn't pop up instantly... they can still inch around it before it fully blocks their path, or sometimes they'll pass through when it looks like they shouldn't be able to because of dysnc (and slight desync still does happen even with lockstep, which can make it look like they're passing through it when it's already formed, cuz serverside them may have beat it out) cwdt frost wall is a great defense if you've got some way for your mobility to be unimpaired by the wall (phasing or certain movement skills). It can push back the enemies and make them repath, giving you valuable time or preventing other enemies from closing in, as well as blocking off most enemy projectiles fired from behind it.
