Let's talk stash tabs

As a dedicated pack rat I have been sorting my standard stash for the past week or so. Well, we desperately need QOL improvements for large stashes. It is just so painful to spend hours and hours moving stuff around.

I tried to collect a list of what would be extremely helpful, maybe we can get GGG to implement some of this? Maybe you want to add to the list?

Stash Management

1.) Make it possible to hide tabs. After the introduction of quad tabs and special tabs i have literally dozens of regular tabs that I no longer need cluttering my stash.

2.) Let us define a template for the ordering of tabs so that we do not have to spend a lot of time at the start of each league to sort our tabs.

3.) Faster movement of tabs (e.g. push to top/bottom)

4.) A second (third, fourth) row of tabs for faster navigation

5.) Give us an upgrade option for regular tabs to quad tabs. I don't buy the excuse that it is not technically feasible. I don't mind spending mony on merging four tabs in order to reduce stash bloat.

Tab Management

1.) Vendor all button for remove only tabs. I need this. NOW!

2.) Push all inventory to current tab and vice versa.

3.) Transfer the content of one tab to another tab in one go.

4.) Give us the ability to name the tab arbitrarily even if we set a ~bo or ~price for the whole tab. I hate it to have to go through 20 tabs that are named all the same because they contain stuff with the same bo/price.

New Tab Types

1.) A sorting tab: a tab that has an attached item filter like logic moving everything that is put in it according to the filter. E.g. maps could be automatically moved to your map stash tab, currency to your currency tab and so on.

To be honest, the latter would largely remove the need for the former. Only reason I'd consider hiding tabs is simply because the tab row is so cluttered with my lengthy list of tabs... But I still occasionally touch every tab that isn't a remove-only tab of maps. (fortunately, the specialized map tab has put an end to THAT)

To be honest, I'd settle for "all specialized tabs are placed at the front." I dunno how they'd implement a definable template, but it should be relatively easy for them to define a specific sorting order by type. (e.g, currency->other specialized tabs->quads->premiums->normal)

Yeah, this definitely. You're not alone. And no, anyone claiming a lack of "Technical feasibility" is either a player with zero programming experience (and hence has zero valid things to say in terms of the technical side) or is a member of GGG lying to cover for the fact that they still have plenty of growth to do in their own technical capabilities.

Do remember: while young and fresh (and hence full of good, new ideas) GGG is also young and fresh. (and hence pretty inexperienced)

+1 to all of this. #2 was especially painful given I bothered to buy a second map tab this weekend; I'd been (rightfully) dreading the act of moving all my countless tabs of Atlas of Worlds maps over, given I'd previously used quad tabs to hold my maps. (And I still have a tab mostly full of Shaped Strands...)

This ALSO has caught me up so many times... I'd reflexively ctrl+click currency when on the wrong tab, and if it wasn't a specialized tab... Oops, I just dumbed a bunch of orbs into my quality or chaos recipe tab.

A sorting tab might not be enough, though, since it wouldn't prevent the above. Rather, I'd just like a setting feature to my specialist tabs to "Auto-catch" item dumping. E.g, if I attempt to move an orb that COULD fit into one of my slots on my currency tab, it'll go there no matter the tab I'm looking at. Ditto with maps, essences, divination cards, etc.

I know GGG is capable of handling this, given that they used similar coding for the map tab.
