Unique Drop

Hi, Im a little confuse on how the unique drops, I understand the wiki saying it drops from the leve of the map +1/+2 on magic and rare mobs, What I dont understand is the ilvl thing of this unique?

ie. Astramentis Onyx Amulet requires level 20 to be equip so does this mean I can get this from zones 20++ and above? or I can only be drop on the ilevel of the item?

Ilvl on uniques only affects sockets & links... Most of the stats of unique items are fixed with some values that have ranges. The wiki does a good job of showing you the stats of unique items. So you can find a unique from the first mob you kill at ilvl one, alternately you could find that same unique in a sixty eight map with the stats the exact same. Just with the potential for more sockets links. Hope that helps.


To answer your question directly, yes anytime after you have met the base item level.

Unique items can only be found off of appropriately leveled zones - you cannot find a level 70 unique in a level 5 zone, but you can find a level 30 unique in a level 30 or higher zone.

I think he wants to know where he can find uniques.

So long as the map and area level match the level of the item your looking for, it has a chance to drop, though the higher your level over the area, the less likely you are to find it.

And yes, champ and rare mobs offer a higher monster level so you can find Astra(lvl 20) in a level 18 area so long as the monster it drops from is a rare.

Ok all clear now, so I can find Astramentis onyx in level 20 above zone, all clear, I was rather confuse by the ilevel on uniques, was thinking that this amulet would drop only for 65+ areas, now I know ilvl only affects the sockets and links, thanks guys! :)
