[3.4] Laser Disco Dance Party build - [12k ES / 12k Mana] Easy deathless Uber Elder/Atziri/ HoGM

Don't play this build in 3.5,it won't be nearly as good. DPS loss of about 60% from 3.4.

3.5 update
Spoiler
initial thoughts :overall undeserved big buff to this build so far. We won't know until the full patch notes are out. So far we are losing one totem from ascendancy, big qol for clear speed with ability to summon 2 totems with 1 cast, possible sources of +1 Max totem from shield and possibly other gear, more totem nodes on Templar side of tree, more flat es nodes on tree (good for low life version). This build may very well by my own league starter if Indigon survives nerf.

3.4 update
Spoiler
The build is now low life to benefit from pain attunement and various auras to boots DPS and defense. We no longer use cloak of defiance and require ES on every piece of gear. Scorching ray is the way to go if you want to delve deep. The totems clear MUCH better than Glacial casade and they hit from far away with increased scorching ray beam length. Currently in depth 372 and will record any boss fights I encounter. Glacial cascade is still amazing, don't get me wrong. It will be far more expensive though than scorching ray.I was able to get over 1 million DPS tooltip in hideout, you can imagine the DPS while mapping.

Hello, this is a work in progress but wanted to show off the power of the new helm Indigon
Yes, GC totems is very boring, I know, but I started this character because I found my MH weapon and had to make a build with it. My previous build was a trickster using Indigon based on Waggle and Rhaegar's builds, and I wanted to continue experimenting with Indigon.

Budget:
Spoiler
30-40ex For my gear, expensive things are GC conversion enchant, clarity with mana recovery, belt with mana recovery, main hand weapon with double physical added shaper mod.

For lower budget version replace watcher's eye with 2 "the long winter" jewels which allows full physical conversion without the helm enchant. My guess is the build can run pretty smoothly for about 15ex investment.

Thoughts on swapping out Faster Casting for phys to lightning to be able not run GC jewels before you get the head enchant?
Thanks to HaxzoR this is a viable option which allows you to drop the long winter jewels and equip 3 grand spectrum jewels instead, more mana, more damage.

10ex: Scorching ray version is cheaper since you do not need any enchants and main hand weapon will be much cheaper.

Pantheon:
Spoiler
Major: Lunaris (if you are bad at dodging elder and shapers projectiles) or Arakaali (for mitigating degens like shaper beam and ground degen)

Minor: Ralakesh (for physical ground degen from adds) or Gruthkul (if you feel like you can manage adds well)

FAQ:
Spoiler
Q: Can you use other spells?
A: Yes, for other spells which do not deal physical damage, you want a weapon that has attack speed, mana regen, mana, and cast speed. Otherwise, for physical spells a shaped weapon with 2x physical damage added as extra x is best in slot. Example:

Q: How much mana should I have?
A:The higher your mana pool the more you can spend mana and boost your spell damage like crazy.
I would aim for at least 5k mana, should be easy to hit if you have mana on every piece of gear. With end game gear 8k should be possible, there is a hybrid version that I mocked up in POB which reaches 10k.

I have watched your videos and you don't seem to be spamming your totems to gain increased spell power too much like the other Indigon builds. So my question is, with just laying out your 4~5 totems, is that enough mana used to get a big enough boost from the helm?

Also I'm curious about the buff from the helm as its related to totems, as in if you have a boost of we'll say ~2000% spell damage when you lay a totem down... Does that totem retain the 2000% buff for it's duration? Or is that 2000% buff only for the amount of time the character has it, and therefor it would be for All totems?

Basically I'm just wondering if it's being snapshotted, or is it a global buff that will increase and decrease as you gain and lose the buff, or does it stick with each totem at the time of it being created/casted.

I love the idea and had been thinking about doing it myself... I tried just throwing the Helm on my Heiro, but didn't alter the tree or other gear at all and it did pretty good just with that setup.

Well done!

True, and yes it is enough to lay out a couple at a time instead of spamming because I spam totems only in the beginning of the fight to ramp up my mana use. Once I get it going each totem costs over 9k mana, which means I have to wait a little bit for the cost to go down before I can place another. The limiting factor here is that my mana pool and regen cannot keep up with spamming totems endlessly, I'm not sure how to decrease it at this point but I have been trying to play around it by placing totems sparsely.

I wish I had the answer, and if anyone knows I would love to hear the answer!

Totems do not snapshot buffs. Drinking a flask or gaining another temporary buff will change the damage on existing totems, as will weapon swapping, and anything else that changes your damage number.

As for the build and uber kill, pretty cool. I definitely didn't do that well my first kill with a more traditional GC totem build (4 deaths, but only ~8 ex in gear). I actually got an indigon from that kill and played around with it a bit, but it was going to take too extensive of a gear change to make it work so I ended up selling it. You're making me reconsider going for it though, almost 8k mana is pretty sexy.

That's good to know, thanks!

Actually, I bricked my first set because I didn't manage the adds well enough. This was my second attempt!

Very good option to use phys to lightning, this allows you to replace "the long winter"x2 with grand spectrum jewels

Updated "Alternative Versions" section, currently playing around with scorching ray version, has higher damage output on average but more clunky to play, cheaper than GC version.
