Elder/Shaper mods
There's something that's not clear to me about the elder and shaper mods, mostly on weapons.
For example, can a 1h-sword roll both "Socketed gems are supported by level XX Melee Physical Damage" and "Socketed gems are supported by level XX Ruthless"? or either of these with X% increased physical damage? It seems like it can't but I wanna be sure, because I remember in last league (or the one before) searching trade sites for wands and finding ones with 40%+ inc. crit chance (local) which means it had shaper mod + regular mod. But maybe i'm wrong about that. Last bumped on Apr 5, 2018, 9:34:52 AM

Short answer is yes. Go here http://poeaffix.net/1h-sword.html. The only rule is that you are limitied to three prefixes and three suffixes.

thats completely wrong sinthetick you're misinformed, the ruthless/brutality/melee phys mods count as main increased phys dmg mod and cant be rolled together with one another or the main % phys dmg mod

I should have probably mentioned earlier..
When trying to craft %phys on a weapon with 1 of the prefixes it will say that the item already has a mod of this type Also, when searching for any combination of the prefixes with %phys on poe.trade in any of the leagues there is no results. So to my understanding the current state is that you can only have 1 of the 3 prefixes with %phys or the regular one but not any combination of 2 of them. In some other cases of shaped/elder mods I know that items can have 2 mods of the same type so for example you can get 50% increased critical strike chance on an axe with the "chance to gain an endurance charge on critical strike / %increased critical strike chance" mod along with the regular % roll OR the "supported by level # increased critical strikes / % increased critical strike chance" It's just not very clear when 2 mods can go together or not, and if it's intended that some of them doesn't. As far as I can tell, mods with "socketed gems are supported by level # XXX" with hybrid mod can't be rolled along with the regular mod or with another one that has the same hybrid mod. |
