Exposing how sextant blocking is BUFFED & how you can stil apply more than 5 sextants to a map(std)

I think more people should be aware that this is a thing. It's very OP, and very unfair that only certain people will be able to take advantage of it. I kept it to myself for the last 3-4 weeks but now I will make it public. But basically, in standard, if you have more than 12 or 13 sextants(from before 3.2) active here is what you do (having 20+ sextants active before you start this is preferred/most OP/easier to set up): 1) Figure out what map you want to turn to elder. I choose strand because im a strand fanboy, and also because its a wide linear format which I like for monstrous treasure, and it also has 2-4 bosses. 2) Put sextants on all the maps around strand (or whatever elder map you want). You will lose your sextants elsewhere, but that is okay. 3) Go through the questline and get the t16 elder orb, if you havent already. Make sure if you have to run maps with active sextants on, you dont let them expire aka reroll them when they get to 1 use remaining. 4) After you have done the questline, push elder influence to your elder map. Look at the very beginning of the video to understand what I mean. 5)At this point, you can run your elder map with shaper or elder influence everytime. Sometimes influence will disappear completly, but if you just run random low tier maps and kill the bosses(like graveyard, or anything quick really), the influence will naturally go back on your elder map. 6) I won't go to much into strategy. if you can get to this point, you will figure out on your own what works, for example, sometimes you want to use seals on the guardian t16s so ONLY t16 elder maps drop from the t16 map pool, and things like whether you should run monstrous treasure, how many sextants to use per 2 maps, etc. TLDR: Run t16 maps with "permanent" elder/shaper influence, with full sextants/sextant blocking. Note: Yes you have to use sextants two times now, instead of 3 times. But sextant prices(standard!) have been cut in half since 3.2 , last I checked. I probably forgot to mention some things, but feel free to ask, or just watch the video I linked to see a quick run through. This is my last post! Goobye poe! One of the greatest games of all time, but its time for me to move on. dude sextant blocking was so you didn't waste sextants rolling shitty mods, this is just rolling sextants on a map -_- like yeah its cheaper with whites but thats just like shaping a map same as always

" I guess I should have broke it down more. Not only can you still sextant block. You can still use more than 5 sextants on a map. Doing this on a t16 with mostly white sextants(which only cost like 1c each now), with perma shaper and elder influence is imo the most OP way you can possibly run maps in standard right now. (other than uber elder farming, maybe) I also used my elder orb on strand which is near the corner of the map, so not as many blocking possiblities. If you can do it in a better location, even more OP. Message me in game @SleepyHarvester Last edited by SleepyBigod#3400 on Mar 31, 2018, 12:58:04 PM
