Cautious life flask, how does it work?

Cautious prefix on life flasks states this:

100% increased Recovery when on Low Life

I have a couple of questions regarding this mod, hope someone could help me out here.
Imagine I have 10,000 hp. I have a Cautious Hyper Life Flask that recovers 5,000 life over 5 seconds and 100% increased recovery when low life.

When my health drops to 8,000 and I pop this hyper life flask, I would recover 1,000 life per second up to 5 seconds or until I'm fully topped up back to 10,000 whichever earlier. This is what I understand about how flask currently work.

Maybe I use Righteous Fire and I drop all the way down to 1 hp. Now when I use this Cautious Hyper Life Flask and since I'm at low life (<30%), instead of 1,000 life per second for 5 seconds, should I:

a) recover 2,000 life per second for 5 seconds as long as I'm low life
b) recover 2,000 life per second for 2.5 seconds as long as I'm low life
c) recover 2,000 life per second for 5 seconds even after I've recovered past the low life threshold
d) recover 2,000 life per second for 2.5 seconds even after I've recovered past the low life threshold
e) Something else?

Option B and D sounds like increased life recovery rate.
I'm confoosed.

bump plz assist
I always assumed its C but I never actually tried it.
Once life regeneration has started, it keeps regeneration at this rate, you can even stack flask for longer duration, for example if you at low life and smash the heal button 3x, you will regen 2000 HP/s over 15 seconds.
