Chance for traps to trigger an additional time

Correct me if I'm wrong but didnt this only work if enemies triggered the trap?
Because I'm sitting in my HO with 96% chance and it seems to be working on its own now.

Did GGG actually fix this or was my understanding of the mechanic wrong back then

Yes to your first question.

Saboteur's Chain Reaction or Sunblast's end duration trigger effect will prevent your traps from triggering an additional time since an enemy did not trigger the trap.

In order for your traps to trigger an additional time, an enemy must step on them and trigger them. This means certain builds and unique items must be avoided in order to receive the benefit of a high chance to trigger an additional time.
Bring back race seasons.

Also tried doing this with 0% duration via sunblast + 2 cheap constructions. Doesnt work

Doesnt seem to work on certain spells as well. Its working on lightning trap and glacial cascade+trap but it wouldnt work on cold snap + trap

EDIT: Viewing your webm, I looked into how this could possibly not be a bug, and "stealth fixes".

I think I identified the source: The wording on instances of %chance for traps to trigger an additional time has changed: I remember it being "when an enemy triggers" - this is no longer the case.

This likely occurred during the ascendancy revamp.

The best way to test and confirm that this is the case, and not an unintended bug (as MANY bugs have occurred with Bestiary's release. Just google the 151 Spectre bug), would be to acquire 100% chance for traps to trigger an additional time and try all traps/spells with Trap.

Of course it won't work on Cold Snap, the traps don't have a power charge to bypass cooldown.
