Does loreweave help VS penetration spells on bosses?

I've been farming uber elder for quite a bit now however sometimes I do get 1 shot from time to time cuz you know ow

Nope, it only sets your MAXIMUM resistances to a specific value. They can still be lowered by debuffs and penetration (but not by -/+ max resistance modifiers).

Penetration is applied against effective resistance, not the grand total overcapped resistances. So with max roll Loreweave your effective Cold Resistance vs The Shaper's projectiles will be 55%.
