radius = xx -> means what?

ok, sure i know what it means. ;-)

but e.g....i haven´t gotten the gem "elemental proliferation" by now, but according to the wiki, the radius is 12. what size is that. what is radius = 1 and so on, so that someone got an idea of that.

sidenote: would by somehow great to actualy SEE what the radius (on auras as well) will be. a lightly dotted circle on the ground perhaps? that way it would be better obvious as well how it progreses if someone takes a "increase area"-node.
Radius 12 is a little over 2x melee range. A dev in a thread about Point Blank said melee range is about radius 5.

While showing the radius of active auras/totems all the time would probably be too much screen effect clutter, it would be great if this was available on key press.

never used a meeleweapon, but by what the name suggests, it should be rather close.
so that would mean that if radius=12 for proliferation...only enemys that stand side by side will be hit. (so i wonder why people say that this is a good crowdcontrol - either wrong, or my understandig is false)
the radius increases on level up, one point of radius per level... and is affected by increased AoE size mods.
