Are the 60 $ support packs worth it?

I was looking at the supporter packs when I saw the one with the blue costume and other thing+ points,so I wanted to buy it, but then I looked at the price. For a Bulgarian 60$ is a lot of money. Like A LOT. So I wanted to hear opinions about is the pack worth it? I want to support the game+ the things you get from the pack are great, but again- 60$. Plus the skins for the weapons don't include bow (as far as I know) so it makes 1 thing less worth it.

So is it worth it?

I don't know how you could expect anyone to possibly give an answer to this to you. It's completely subjective. How much is looking nice in game worth to you? I'd say, if you like MTX, it's 100% worth it, because you almost get as many shop points as you'd get just buying the points directly, but a full set of extra mtx gear layered on top of it. But rather buying mtx at all is a good investment of your money is something no one can answer for you.

The pack also gives you 550 points, so the MTX of the set are basically costing you 50 points over buying points raw.

But I like this league. Not only it's my first one, but it also has a mechanic I love- Catching beasts and studying them. It feels like scanning for Codex in Warframe.

The irony is that the money you have spent on the older supporters packs are what went towards the current league.

Literally the only thing that should stop anyone from buying a pack is if they don't like what is in it, and for the $60 packs you get near points value in ray points and and MTX quite close to the value.

It depends on a few things; the opportunity cost (what else you could spend $60 on), whether you've previously spent money on the game, how much you play, and how much you like the packs. This is all very subjective, so it's difficult to answer 'yes' or 'no' definitively.

None of the $60 packs currently available include a weapon skin. All three include weapon effects, which are animations placed on top of the skin. These work on any weapon type. Unlike MTX purchased separately, they'll apply to both weapons if you're dual-wielding.

Supporter packs do offer better value than just buying an equivalent amount of points. If you like the armour set and the look of the weapon glow included in one, I do think they're worth it. If you haven't spent money on the game previously, I'd urge you to buy at least a currency stash tab and quad tab before spending any of the points included on more cosmetic stuff.

Different things are discounted every day, so I add things you want to your watchlist by finding them in the store and clicking on the option near the bottom of their entry. You can choose how you'll be notified when things on your watchlist are discounted.

I don't recommend buying stuff that isn't discounted. That isn't worth it imo.

Let's put aside the value proposition - what you get for your money, and look at one of the core aspects of your concerns.

If $60 is a LOT of money for you, then I think there's a strong case to not spend that much. Only you can really assess your personal financial position, but if the thought of spending that much concerns you, then that's a valid concern.

Put it this way, if your close friends and family would say that spending $60 on a hobby you participate in is too much, then it probably is.

For me personally I like to equate gaming to other general hobbies and past-times that people enjoy. I could play a team sport, spending a few hundred each season for new gear, travel, membership fees etc. and most people would probably find that acceptable. I could be part of a book club, buying a new book every month for $20 a pop. I could be a huge football fan, paying my club membership and paying to see games every second weekend and again, most people would find that acceptable. So in that context, spending some money every six months on a game I enjoy is probably reasonable.

On the other side, I remember growing up as a kid and we did not have a lot of money to spare. Paying to watch the football every weekend was not affordable for us, so we watched at home instead for free.

So don't feel compelled to spend $60 if you really shouldn't be spending that much. Even if you don't spend any money, being part of the PoE community is adding value to the game so you're doing your bit. If you do want to contribute though, for half the price you can still support the game and get a good weapon effect and one of the coolest pets in the game. Perhaps that is a reasonable compromise to consider?
