Yes the damage calc will go
Phys > Cold Cold Resist Remaining cold damage reduced by 10% same for fire obviously so for a hit of 1000 1000 phys > 200 cold 200 cold *0.25 (capped cold resist) 50 cold damage 50 damage reduced by 10% from wise oak, 45 cold damage taken + 800 phys from the original hit.
