I was entering shaped atoll when I received a Windows Exception error:

I entered the Atoll for a Zana mission and get the exact same thing upon entering.
I got that error, POE crashed and now whenever I try and login the game I get this error

Exception

'Font: OptimusPrincepsSemiBold": In source code file: Resource\FontResourceWindow.cpp at line 57, Processing file: Font: OptimusPrincepsSemiBold
Error: failed to get text metrics
Getting the same crashes as well. Happens often when I'm on the Shaped Atoll Map.

Entering the same map again caused the same crash.

I was able to enter the map again after disabling engine-multithreading.

"Font Arial": In source code file: Resource\FontResourceWindows.cpp at line 57.
Processing file: Font:Arial
Error: failed to get text metrics
Sturggling with same error with Atoll map.
That error number is DirectX telling PoE E_OUT_OF_MEMORY, or that it couldn't allocate the requested amount of memory. This is not necessarily a PoE problem, simply that PoE is reporting it. (The location there in the source code is where PoE detected the problem, nothing more.)

Things to try:

1. In the nvidia control panel, if available, set "debug mode" to disable factory overclocking.
2. If otherwise (any vendor) overclocked, step down at least ten percent, and see if the problem continues.
3. Ditto CPU.
4. Check fans are functioning correctly and clean, and ventilation working as expected in case.
5. Check this isn't a power supply to the hardware issue.
6. Disable and/or remove anything that gets in the rendering path: common candidates are the twitch client, reshade, gemfx, fps displays, "game DVR" style features of windows or vendors.

If none of that helps you, you can help further debug this by grabbing listdlls, loading PoE, entering a regular zone or map, then running that tool against it.

Post the list to pastebin or equivalent, and link it from here. That'll help narrow down what common elements are in the crashes.
