Lack of use for multiple portal MTX

I have a feeling that portals have way too little use considering how many of them we have and how diverse our options are. We get portals for everything - rewards, lootboxes, special offers, supporter packs and self purchases, yet we have little to no use for them. As an example the portal for this league looks very cool BUT I don't care about it at all since I already have 3 really cool ones and the Bestiary one won't fit the theme of my standard hideout. Same story has applied to Abyss and promotions that have came up.

This is not a problem with every other MTX. Armor / weapon sets & effects always have their own use because with different appearances mix different parts of the sets. Pets can be used in your hideout.
You could argue that different portals also work with different hideouts but I don't see it being as much of a trend - people mostly tend to use the same Master as their hideout every league.

This thread is more about acknowledging the possible problem and collecting ideas.

Here are my 2 ideas:

1) Being able to equip multiple of them - could start testing from 2 and would have them laid out in one after another fashion.

2) Have users being able to choose each portal's appearance - this would be the endgame and would drastically increase the hunt and desire to have multiple portal MTX. You could have something like 5 Abyss portals and the one facing towards your usual entrance would be Bestiary portal. Collectors or oldschoolers could equip all different ones and show off their collection etc.

Another idea would be a randomizer but I don't see it helping much.

There are no downsides to it except for the development time and I believe at least the first option shouldn't be hard to implement.

The fact that they keep pumping new ones out both as purchasable and challenge rewards has me convinced they are either working on or have a portal randomization thing ready soon. You know they want to get something that makes either every map open with a random mtx for all 6 portals or a complete mix if you want if they can swing it. You know they are salivating at the chance to pump that out and then put portals on sale for the weekend they do. A ton of players would be buying out every portal they don't own yet.

WoW lets you mark mounts as favourites and gives you a summon random mount button. I’d like something similar - not a fan of all the portal MTX I own, but I’d like to use more than one.
