How does upgrading Supporter Packs exactly work?

Hi,

I am new to PoE and don't want to waste money, that's why I have the following questions:

1.) Pure Points: I know upgrading a Supporter Pack is only possible within the same league. But what's about pure poins? If I bought several packs of points within League X and League Y starts. Is it still possible to upgrade these points spend to a Supporter Pack of my choice?

2.) Upgrading SP to SP: I read that it's also possible to upgrade from one Supporter Pack to another. This is only possible within the same league, right? Does that I will be able to buy the "Alpha Harpy Pack" and upgrade it later on to the "Alpha Manticore Pack"?

3.) Keeping items: If I upgrade from Pack X to Pack Y, will I keep any items of the first Supporter Pack or are they deleted in this process and I will only have the ones of the new pack?

4.) "contribute is 80%": Does that mean my previous points are considered x0,8? Or does that simply mean if a pack costs $100, points are considered to a maximum of $80 (so, I will always have to pay at least $20, even if I bought more than 100 points before)?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Edited SP names "Manticore Pack" -> "Alpha Manticore Pack"

Only points packs purchased since the release of the supporter pack are eligible for inclusion.

No; conceptually upgrading from the Alpha Harpy Pack to the Manticore Pack doesn’t make sense. You’d be upgrading from a $60 pack to a $30 pack, and they have no overlapping contents.

Look at the Harpy Pack and the Alpha Harpy Pack. You can buy the former, then later pay the difference in price to receive the rest of the contents of the latter. This is the idea of upgrading; you aren’t laying less (or more) than someone who just bought the pack you upgrade to initially.

You will keep them, but not receive them a second time.

Thanks for your detailed answer! I thought, I could upgrade from "Alpha Harpy" to "Alpha Manticore" (what is more expensive). But it makes sense that I can only upgrade "Harpy" -> "Alpha Harpy" or "Manticore" -> "Alpha Manticore". I didn't realize that why scrolling down the website. Thanks!

I guess, I will go for Atlas Packs then.

By the way: How long will Atlas Packs be available?

For very approximately another two months.

You can e-mail support@grindinggear.com before they leave the store to arrange a payment plan, in which case they could hold one for you for up to six months after the packs leave the store.
