Everything works if instead of skeletons I use other minions like SRS.

edit:

spirit offering does not generate energy shield when it is procced due to cast when damage taken which is procced by a skeleton dying to summoning after the cap is reached with heartbound loop. SRS, Raise Zombie and Raise Spectre all work in the same scenario.

I have found this bug as well.


Basically spirit offering doesn't generate energy shield if you use CWDT spirit offering, and take damage from over summoning skeletons with heartbound loop.


Note: If the skeletons simply run out of duration it DOES work.

As in you get energy shield from spirit offering through CWDT if the skeletons die by simply running out of duration RATHER than dying due to being overcapped.


Very strange bug.


My guess it has something to do with the Necro passive "Bone Sculptor"
For some reason bone sculptor has a weird interaction when over summoning minions, possibly messing with other trigger gems.

I've found through testing that if spell totem is the source of summon skeletons spirit offering WILL generate energy shield despite spell totem over summoning skeletons just like you would as the player.

Apologies if Bumping posts is agianst the rules however I would really appreciate a response regarding this bug.

Essentially I'm unable to play the necro build I've planned due to the fact that over summoning skeletons seems to prevent spirt offering from working when triggured through CWDT and caused by damage from heatbound loop.

To confirm the bug every other source of minion death seems to work with CWDT spirit offering except when you self cast, over summon, skeletons.


Spirit offering does APPEAR to work, as in the animation goes off and corpses are consumed. However the energy shield is not provided in this specefic scenario only. This IS of course taking into consideration the damage caused by heartbound loop. I know that this is not the issue for a fact because when the exact same amount skeletons die due to their duration running out, the spirit offering CWDT WILL provide energy shield. This should be the exact same case for over summoning the same amount of skeletons, but its not, it doesn't work.


Any attention to this issue would be greatly appreciated.
