Paypal Balance

Since I began to like this game, I decided to chip in some of my cash to GG and try the micro shop for the first time.

I clicked the Paypal option, but welp, it's asking me for a credit card. I wanted to pay with my Paypal balance only, but it seems this is not possible. The game is region blocked in my Steam also, so I can't use Steam as a medium for payment.

I read in previous threads that this option was possible before, but due to some this and thats, it's now going through Xsolla.

Bottomline, I really hope this gets addressed soon. I mean, I'm already wholeheartedly giving my donation of shekels to this game, even though my currency exchange rate is a painful 50:1 for a US dollar.

Sadly, the game can't take my money with this kind of payment hindrances. :^)

Oh wow, I tried again as of now and my transaction pushed through. It didn't ask me for a credit card and I was able to use my balance.

So far, here were the differences.

1.) I unchecked the "Stay logged in for faster checkouts" (which is checked by default)

2.) I was not logged in to Paypal, prior to Xsolla taking me to the Paypal landing page. (It seems a conflict happens if you are currently logged in to Paypal, right before the Xsolla to Paypal process happens)

Anyhows, I hope my next transaction will be smoother. Personally I'd rather pay GG directly. Might be just me, but I feel it's strange having two receipts in my inbox. One from Paypal and one from Xsolla. :^)

This isn't possible. A (once) small indie game development studio doesn't have the resources to handle online transactions themselves. Their previous payments provider was a company called Stripe who were a bit more transparent, but short of mailing them a cheque it'd be impossible not to have a middleman. The legal responsibilities for those dealing with online transactions are very strict, so I don't think GGG begrudge Stripe / Xsolla / whoever their cut.
Today… by divine decree… your patch of Excel, begins.
