Singularity Unique Item
So, if I interpret that correctly, giving my Animated Guardian two singularities will effectively work like a 150% more multiplier from hits, sure? I just want to know if the effect stacks.

"Increased" is not the same as "More" - x% more always stacks multiplicatively, while increased stacks additively with the same data-type (for damage, all damage is the same data-type).
So you would be correct if the Animated Guardian began with 0% increased damage (since 1.00 times anything is the anything). However if your Animated Guardian begins with, say, 200% increased damage (probably from all your increased minion damage nodes), the AG would deal (1 + 2.0 + 1.5) / (1 + 2.0) = 1.5 = 50% more damage, not 150% more damage. And it'll only be for hits from your AG, and Singularity has really, really low base damage, so... there's no practical reason to do that, unless they added a way for AGs to use Skill Gems that I totally missed. "Small clarification to this note here: All Damage dealt ("Damage") is the same data-type. "Damage Taken" is separate however. Additionally: This distinction allows one to identify whether it only applies to the wielder, or to all allies. - Singularity doesn't use the word "Take(n)", and as such falls under "Damage" automatically. Its Damage bonus only applies to the wielder. - If you Freeze something while wielding Taryn's Shiver, that 20% Increased Damage Taken applies for anyone hitting the Frozen enemy. And third: Dual-wielding Singularity does stack the Increased Damage, yes. Suppose that's worth stating explicitly since that was the question :p |
